Key Features:

  1. Ampere Architecture at Its Peak
  • GA102 GPU (Full Implementation)
    • The RTX 3090 Ti uses the GA102 GPU at near-full or full potential, offering the highest number of CUDA Cores (over 10,000), alongside additional RT and Tensor Cores compared to the standard 3090.
  • Second-Generation RT Cores
    • Hardware-accelerated real-time ray tracing with improved throughput, facilitating advanced lighting, shadows, and reflections for a cinematic visual experience in modern 3D applications.
  • Third-Generation Tensor Cores
    • Accelerates AI-based features like Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), speeding up both gaming performance at high resolutions and creative tasks such as denoising or super-resolution in content creation software.
  1. 24GB of GDDR6X Memory
  • Immense VRAM Capacity
    • With 24GB of GDDR6X running at extremely high data rates, the RTX 3090 Ti can handle complex 3D scenes, massive texture packs, multi-4K video editing, and memory-hungry AI tasks without hitting VRAM limits.
  • 384-bit Interface & High Bandwidth
    • Provides substantial memory bandwidth—exceeding 1 TB/s in many partner designs—ensuring minimal memory-related bottlenecks for next-gen gaming and production workloads.
  1. Extreme Performance Enhancements
  • Higher Boost Clocks
    • Compared to the original 3090, the 3090 Ti runs at elevated boost frequencies, delivering additional frame rates in gaming and faster GPU acceleration for compute tasks.
  • Stronger VRM & Cooling
    • AIB (Add-In Board) partners typically reinforce power delivery, VRMs, and cooling solutions (multi-fan, larger heatsinks, or hybrid coolers) to handle the increased TDP and maintain stable clocks.
  1. Real-Time Ray Tracing and DLSS
  • Dynamic Ray-Traced Effects
    • Second-gen RT Cores allow near real-time global illumination, shadows, and reflections in AAA games, advanced design software, or other ray-traced workflows.
  • DLSS
    • Third-gen Tensor Cores drive DLSS 2.x (and enhancements), significantly boosting FPS and image quality by leveraging AI-based upscaling at 4K (and even 8K) gaming or in professional 3D tasks.
  1. AI and Compute Readiness
  • Mixed-Precision Support
    • Tensor Cores enable FP16, BF16, and INT8 computations for moderate AI training or advanced inference tasks, bridging consumer and prosumer HPC-like capabilities.
  • NVIDIA Software Ecosystem
    • Full support for CUDA, TensorRT, HPC libraries, and content creation SDKs, ensuring synergy with data science, deep learning, and creative pipelines.
  1. High Power Draw and Thermal Design
  • TDP around 450W
    • The RTX 3090 Ti demands a robust PSU (850–1000W recommended) and sufficient case airflow for stable, sustained operation under heavy loads.
  • 12-pin/16-pin Power Connectors
    • Some models adopt the 16-pin (12VHPWR) or a triple 8-pin arrangement to handle the elevated power requirements.
